RAPHAEL MANN – ‘GREY HERON‘ video still (2022)

‘Grey Heron‘ was one of small batch of songs that I wrote after moving to a new home at the end of 2021. It’s barely a song really. A simple, literal description of an encounter with a heron that lives on one of our local lakes. One listener called it ‘a zen parable’, and I suppose you can read it that way, but really it’s just a simple observation, of me and the heron and the patterns we move in…

It came out as a single in July of 2022, and will end up on my upcoming solo debut album.
